Privacy Statement
D-Lib is an Internet-based magazine with a world-wide
audience, committed to providing its readers with digital library-related
articles licensed by authors for publication. The Corporation for National
Research Initiatives (CNRI), which produces the magazine, does not collect
personally identifying information about individuals who visit this web site.
Our logs collect and store only domain names; dates and times of visits; the
pages visited; and types of browsers used. Data from the logs are used to
measure the number of visitors to the site.
Subscribers may join and leave the subscriber list using an automated
mailist program. The subscriber list is used solely by the Editor to notify
subscribers about site updates and/or the release of new issues. The
subscriber list is not provided to any third parties, nor can subscribers
post messages to the list.
Readers may decide to send email to the Editor containing comments about
the magazine, in which they may include personally identifying information.
That information is used only to enable the Editor to respond. However,
D-Lib Magazine also welcomes formal "Letters to the Editor" related
to particular stories or digital library research and electronic publishing
issues, intended to be published in subsequent issues of the magazine and
which may identify the sender.
CNRI does not control the privacy policies of any other sites to which we
provide hyperlinks. Voluntarily disclosing personal information on
sites hyperlinked to / from D-Lib Magazine would be done at your own risk.
